Being a delegate of International Vietnamese Model Untied Nation

The first time I stayed in the position of a representative for the whole country and speak not only for its benefits but also for building a better world ❤

Note: If you do not know what is MUN yet, you can read this short article to understand: https://bestdelegate.com/what-is-model-united-nations/#

That was the very first time I joined in a Model United Nation conference, so I was really curious and acquisitive to learn something new. The preparation process before three – day conference took me many hours. I had to write two Position Paper about the situation of the tourism problems in my country – Nigeria, coming up with suitable solutions to tackle the problem of preserving tourist sites from climate influences and minimizing tourism waste at marine sites.

This preparation process was struggling at first but was not boring at all. I learned the academic and formal writing style thanks to writing again and again my position papers until I feel content.

But what attract me the most and still be a beautiful memory to me until now are three conference days. In my committee UNWTO (United Nation World Tourism Organization), there were 19 delegates, and three of them are foreigners. We are all students, so it was easy to bonding and get to know each other.

I like them a lot, they are all young talented people, with practical soft skills, good at communication, confident to express their ideas and knowledgeable about their country. They came to International Vietnamese Model United Nation with an open mind and a will to learn. Our country need a young generation like them.

Me and my committee UNWTO

As the delegate of each country, we discussed world problems related to sustainable tourism, bring in each country problem/situation, debate when there are conflict opinions, and negotiate the solutions that are suitable with every countries in the committee. The moment I read the resolution paper that our committee have worked on together, I felt a deep gratitude for being able to be a part of a MUN to learn and grow as a person with sufficient soft skills and a steady mind to enter the world.

  1. Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any recommendations for beginner blog writers? I’d really appreciate it.

    1. I suggest you can write about what you like and what you want to share for other people, because the purpose of blogging to me is sharing, delivering positive messages, creating good influences and learning from others. If you like technology, video games, or anything else, just learn more about it day by day and write about them, upload the post and there must be someone out there share the same interest with you and find your post helpful for them! If you have any other question, feel free to ask me. Good luck!
